The film The life is Beatiful is based on the book by Rubino Romeo Salmoni. The film was directed an written by Rober Benigni.The film won three Oscars in 1973 for best soundtrack, best Actor and best foreing movie and some more oreigners awards.
The film is a tradegy in The second world war in 1939 . It was filme don location in Italy.
The fil is about the Guido Orefice (Roberto Benigni), a cheerful, funny and charismatic young Italian Jewish, arrives at the house of his uncle in Arezzo to work as a bartender at your hotel. There he meets a beautiful young teacher named Dora (Nicoletta Braschi, wife in real life of Roberto Benigni), which falls in love immediately and does his best to win her, calling her Princess and waving cheerfully with the phrase Good morning, princess ! every time he sees her, but she is engaged to a fascist named Rodolfo.
The first half of the film shows the political changes taking place in the country. Guido mimics the gait of Nazi soldiers and parody their racist theories and pseudoscientific. When the engagement party of Rodolfo and Dora is held in the hotel, Guido arrives and confesses his feelings for her. Dora, who has never been truly in love with Rodolfo, goes to Guido in his painted green horse. Along the way, the rise of fascism is becoming clear: the business Uncle Guido and his horse appear often covered with graffiti and antisemitic messages.
Six years later, in 1945, Guido and Dora are married and have a son named Giosuè (Giorgio Cantarini). Despite the war and the Nazi invasion of Italy, remain happy. Guido and Dora opened a bookstore continues his work as a teacher. The birthday of Giosuè, Guido, his uncle and Giosuè arrested because of his Jewish origin and placed on a train to a concentration camp.
I strongly recomend The life is beautiful . It has a context of fascism and social problems caused by poverty, promising to create a strong and united Italy, killing the Jews, for that exalted violence and patriotism.
